To be honest since I've read pretty much everything I'd find interesting manga-wise (I've been reading BL for around 3 years I think, for some it's a lot for others it isn't w/e) I do like how there are more and more K-webcomics popping up here and there, and while I truly love almost all of them I can't help but see (most of) them somewhat mediocr......   3 reply

i think both are good in their own way, bl manwha is usually colored, which gives the reader a bigger idea of the setting. bl manga is very original though, there's more variety for manga, and it's just as interesting. i prefer manga though, it has a lot less "jokes", depends on which manga/manwha you're reading though.   reply

An aspect that I prefer about Korean manhwa/webcomics is that they are in full color, which helps me better see the action of what is going on or what needs to be focused on. Sometimes the black and white of manga, especially on a computer screen, plays tricks on my eyes--and I don't want to spend five minutes trying to figure out what I'm looking......   1 reply

EDIT: SEE END OF COMMENT FOR MANGA/WEBCOMIC/WEBTOON EXPLANATION. Both. It primarily comes down to the individual story and the execution of the story, which means there are amazing, good, mediocre, bad and not-to-my-taste versions of BL manga and BL Korean webtoons. If was forced to choose to read only one type from now on, I'd choose manga beca......   1 reply

Personally, I think both forms of BL have pluses and minuses. For webcomics, something I appreciate is how easy it is to read the stories legally, and for a reasonable price. I also enjoy how they're usually colored. But a downside I've noticed is that a lot of times, plot is sacrificed for art. For example, whenever there is a smutty chapter, ......   reply

Korean/Chinese BL is much more realistic and has much less random rape and noncon used just for purposes of putting two characters together. I can think of more than one famous manga/anime where this is used often and its gross. *cough*Junjou Romatica *cough* I can honestly state I enjoy looking at well drawn and anatomically correct artwork with ......   reply

I feel like their are bl mangas that are still really good and close to my heart but for the most part it would be the bl webtoons that I prefer. I think it's just the quality of the art and the storytelling that's a lot different. That being said I've read bl mangas for a decade so this may just be the joy of experiencing something new and differe......   2 reply

when this kind of question pops up my answer would always be manhwas/manhuas/webcomics and my reason would always be the same: realistic characterization, diverse and unrushed plotlines (most of them atleast since they're always more than 20 chapters), and it's overall refreshing? i think there are of course others that didn't rlly hit me (window b......   reply

BL mangas are usually short, for easy and quick satisfaction for the readers, whereas with manhwa, you have to take the time to sit down and read, aka more plot. There are definitely quality webcomics out there which I absolutely adore but being the younger sibling of the two, with every good manhwa on display, there could be many times more good m......   reply

I’ve only recently started reading webcomics, and I think I am starting to prefer them. They’re generally, longer stories so we get to see more of the characters and more storyline. But it mostly comes down to the fact that I am kind of picky about character design, and it’s easier for me to find character designs that I really really love in......   reply
