Why do we put our Ocs through so much pain? Like I know we could be representing real-world problems and stuff but GODDAMN WE NEED TO GET OUR CHARACTERS AWAY FROM US- don't even get me started on angst and character death. why do we even make that sad shit ?
It depends on the kind of story you are to tell, plus there's the genre to consider. But yeah, I am also guilty of putting my characters on despairing situations (￣∇￣") reply
