so i saw the "silence the white voices" tingy and understood that it was just half joking like not so serious and then i saw another qn where the op said that a non-black person wearing box braids is racist,im indian so never properly understood why a hairstyle had so much controversy behind it? can someone explain cause i didnt see any exploitation of cultural from my point of view,help!

One main reason is that box brands are for the 3 and 4 hair. If your type 1 or 2 it's going to rip your hair out. it's just not good for that hair type and second is when Specifically yt people wear it the6 like to rename it and act like it's theirs and that's so disrespectful.
