I understand because in BL they're the same gender and the problems of women IRL don't exist..so even in an abusive relationship it's not because of misogyny and the victim isn't female, so it feels less triggering, whereas most victims of r*pe and sexual harassment irl are women. Makes it a lot more triggering to read straight stuff, and makes BL ......
