Am I homophobic if I don't support the LGBT community. But I'm okay with you coming out as gay or any other sexualities. Like "I'm okay with that. You can hangout with me even if you're Gay. I don't care." And I wanna be neutral but at the same time I have a nagging feeling I'm homophobic with gay couples. Is it homophobic of me to think that? Or I just don't fully support something.
it's similar to how you can't "respectfully disagree" with someone being a person of color. it's not their choice. you either support them or you don't. unfortunately there's not really an in-between. 2 reply

as both a gay person and a person of color --- yes i can. of course i'd argue that racism is a lot worse than homophobia and just because both the LGBT+ and poc are discriminated against doesn't mean their experiences are the same, but it's a simple enough analogy ESPECIALLY for homophobic people like op.
