Hey, trans guy here. So there's really no one-and-done answer to this question, but the fact that you're asking this question is a good indicator of, at the very least, a feeling of not being entirely aligned with your assigned gender or sex at birth. What I recommend is to really think about how you perceive your inner self. Think about how other ......   reply

That doesn't make you trans. Everything you dislike is a social construct that doesn't define womanhood. Ask yourself these questions: When did you start feeling this way (for as long as you can remember, only recently, etc.)? How do you define being a man/woman? Does being a guy seem empowering in ways you don't have access to as a girl? Do you f......   reply

Don’t confuse being a cross dresser w being transgender. I mean to be simply put, do u wish you were born male, and have a penis? Do you want to be treated as a man in society? It isn’t a light thing to suddenly decide for yourself so be sure to put some thought into it.   1 reply

It is different from person to person. I started developing really early (ex. I needed to wear bras in the first grade). I felt so uncomfortable with what my body was doing. However, I didn't even think of this when I came out to myself at the age of sixteen or so. I first thought I was a trans-male because I didn't know anything about nonbinary ge......   reply

Another trans guy here. Can kinda echo everyone here in saying that there isn't really a set answer, but in general there should be some kinda mismatch between the gender you id with you and the body you have in some way shape form or fashion and from what you said, in my opinion, it seems to fall under that. For me, I realized I was trans the mo......   reply

I can't answer this one because of some differing opinions but please just don't take the hormones. If you have to start now I can't stop you but don't go burning your bridges until you're sure. Really think about if you believe you should be a man, or if you are uncomfortable with something about yourself. There's many mental health issues that ......   1 reply

I'm not trans but I get wanting to wear guys clothes and shoes is normal for girls too but if you want to be called by male pronounces and you hate your real name (I assume it's because it might be feminine or something) than it might be more than that and you might want to look up how other people dealt with such thoughts and maybe console someon......   1 reply

Not trans but lesbian here :) A lot of my friends both LGBT and not also talk about feeling like this during their teen years I did too,, for FOUR years!! there's a lot of changes and pressure on you, a lot of conforming but I just want to tell you from the bottom of my heart that you don't have to decide anything yet you have years and years a......   reply

I don’t believe that wanting to wear a specific set of clothing, or follow certain habits ( make up, typical girl hobbies, interests ), means you are transgender. Things nowadays are just stupidly gendered for no real reason besides shoving the media’s idea of gender down everyone’s throat. This soap is for men, this one is for women. Don’t......   3 reply

It's about how you feel, not what kind of clothes you like or what kind of hobbies you have. Deep inside, do you feel like a guy? Answer this question to yourself, honestly. Also, how do you feel about your body? Do you feel any discomfort with it? Would you rather have a male body over female body? Would you like to get rid of your curves and buil......   reply
