Why do we sleep?

Humans live to be around 80 and they spend a third of their life sleeping but when you sleep you're just looking at the back of your eyelids for eight hours straight.
Sleep is just a free trial of death so we're all dead.

To answer your question, we sleep because we're tired and sleep deprivation for extended amounts of time is dangerous. But yes, it is a free trial of death so we are dead when we sleep, but not technically. real shit. reply
