You know, we're kinda the same Except i have social anxiety started on middle school I was very outgoing when i was on elementary, but all of sudden i was alone during middle school(even tho lots of people from my elementary go to the same middle school), i was kinda traumatized by it and don't really know how to act. Tbh I'm not sure what advice to give you. I'm pretty sure I've got some sort of social anxiety, but it's not overly crippling to me. It's just that I'm afraid of ambiguous social situations and crowds. I'll avoid going to restaurants or cafes because I don't want to talk to the staff, and I never pay in cash because I find it hard to interact that ......   2 reply

i have clinical anxiety and tbh it's not something i'll ever "get over" bc it's a mental illness. i take pills meant to calm me down but honestly i don't know what you could do. if you don't have regular anxiety or you don't get panic attacks, getting pills would be useless. perhaps seeing a therapist would be a good option. you could also have som......   1 reply

I'm not that sure but I do think I have a bit of social anxiety: I hate using a phone or calling someone through phone. It makes me anxious whenever I chat with someone and I usually take a long time to respond because I double check everything I wrote to make sure I didn't make any spelling or grammatical errors in fear of being made fun of. I tal......   reply

I've exhibited symptoms of social phobia since I was six (I kid thee not). I was probably born with it. Although I've improved considerably, I still find it difficult to initiate conversations and connect with others. My advice: get some form of professional aid as soon as possible (e.g. group psychotherapy, online counseling, a self-help guide). I......   1 reply

tbh the only way to overcome socialphobia is suicide so i do nothing about it. also last people to turn sociopath are us. we are sick because we care so much about others' thoughts on us while sociopaths have no conscience. so sociopathia has nothing to do with sociophobia.   1 reply

I've had social phobia and depression for years, and it turns out they're both connected to PTSD. Currently, I'm in therapy to treat the PTSD. I'll still have depression and some social phobia after therapy, but hopefully it'll be better. As someone in the psychology field (I have a master's degree), I seriously recommend professional therapy. It h......   3 reply

Well, I remember my sister was really afraid of going to the store so she would always ask me to go with her, she was diagnosed with social anxiety and was going to a therapist. She seems to be completely fine now though, so i think a lot of it disappeared through time and motivation to face her anxiety head on. As for me, I've struggled with my ......   reply
