depends. words can seem pretty harmless at sometimes, but it depends how they’re used and who is saying them. if you’re insecure about something, and someone you’re really close to goes ahead and talks about that negatively, damn right, that’s gonna hurt like a bitch.
but if it’s a stranger, talking about random things that they know not......
