Question for people who suffer withgender dysphoria
So.. I saw someone on here make a post about them having gender dysphoria earlier and then i saw someone on pintrest mention it too. I did alittle research but google was vague on what it actually felt like. I'm not trying to be rude but what does it feel like? Do you feel like you are in the wrong body all the time or is it something entirely different?
You're not being rude. I've been going through it for actually a couple years now but it has lately gotten worse. It just feels like you're not comfortable in your skin at times. For me, I honestly feel disgusted at times due to being a girl and I barely ever feel comfortable in my own skin. It's also really hard when you constantly get told to "do...... reply
I was born as female, i feel very uncomfortable and insecure at times because of my body because i dont feel like its mine, i always try to look less feminine but can't because my breasts and hips get in the way. I get very angry when my parents tell me to "think like a girl" or "buy what a girl would buy" but i still like looking pretty sometimes ...... 1 reply

The only way I can describe it is like this. You don't necessarily feel like you're in the wrong body, but living in your skin becomes stressful. Dysphoria is not constantly there, but it seeps through probably your everyday life.

For me gender dysphoria is a complete disconnect from my body. Ironically, realizing that I'm transgender made me feel more grounded in my physical existence because it explained why I never loved anything about my appearance or build.
