I try not to ship

I try really hard to not ship people in real life, because I've seen many friendships break up very quickly, even longlasting ones, just because they've been seen as apparently as an OTP.

I try to keep my ships on the down low, quietly cheering for them but not doing anything to ruin themselves. I even heard that some boys in One Directions friendships were ruined because they were shipped very hardcore by their fans

My class is a very different case, as they like to scream and fangirl/boy over every interaction. Once I was racing this boy because we both wanted to grab a ball which was some distance away, and all I could hear was '*** and *** are so dating'-'OMG I ship them so much'-'*Ship Name being screamed from across the court*- like, all I'm doing is fighting to the death and they thought this was a moment. It's like boys and girls in mY class can't be friends unless theit gay, and it's a really cruel concept to live by. A few of my friendships have even been broken just because we've been shipped together, just because we started talking or whatnot.

So in conclusion, don't openly ship your peers, unless their actually dating, both of them like each other, or just keep your mouth shut unless you want to ruin someone's relationship.
