Your sexuality shouldn't define what you read.
I'm a lesbian and I read mostly BL and I don't really read GL (I'm picky). I will read shoujo if it's a good story as well.
Refusing to read a type of story just because of your sexuality/gender is dumb.
That's different if you feel uncomfortable or don't really like it.
