That's my biggest problem...but actually I feel like I am even excluding myself from the others, cause it's totally like I won't never understand their way of thinking and they won't understand me either. This is just how I survived up until now.   reply

I definitely feel it all the time, especially at times where my friends do something and I didn't know about it. Like, well for me, wen that happens, just stand there in thought of feeling out of place wen I find out dat my friends did something without telling me and I start to think, "they're trying to back away from me. Should really be here?" S......   reply

Of course! It's called introversion. I mainly feel out of place with people my age or younger. Weird? I was bullied in school and after graduating I went right into the working world (I'm in my early twenties). The people I met were all older by 6+ years and I got used to talking to them. I don't think I'm particularly mature, I just forgot what pe......   reply

If I have to be honest, I always feel out of place even if I'm with my friends or with my family and when there's a group of people, so I always have manga with me or on my phone reading but somehow I still listen to them while reading just in case they ask me a question or who I agree with.   2 reply

All the time. Except when I'm with my squad. Usually when I go to a place with a group of people the same age as me (especially when they're girls) I feel soooo out of place because I feel like I'm the only different one and I don't really hang out with my girl friends as much as my guy friends. When I'm with my guy friends I feel like I belong the......   reply

One time during my junior college year 2 (age 17-18), i was part of the college orientation group leaders. As facilitators we had to learn a few dance moves for a performance to welcome our new batch of juniors. During one of the practice late evenings, i remembered encouraging my "new-found friends" to practice the songs with me, since it was a gr......   1 reply

I recently attended my friend's wedding. We've known each other since college but as you'd expect, she moved to other states and had a couple jobs so she got her own circle of friends. She was basically the only person I knew. And as she was the bride, you're happy to get 5 minutes with her.   1 reply

There is only one thing I'm afraid of and that is getting hurt. And people are perfect at hurting others, even without knowing. I don't hate them, but I don't like crowded places and interacting with strangers. The worst is when I have to be alone with someone or a small group of people I know but I'm not too close to. Those times I alwasy feel li......   2 reply
