Does it hurt getting piercings??

I have both nostrils pierced and my septum! The longer I anticipated it, the more it hurt it seems. The first nostril and the septum piercings were probably around a 2/10 since I got them done without planning or thinking too much about it, but my other nostril was maybe a 4 since I was waiting to get it done. They were all pretty harmless though!!......   2 reply

When I was stressed out in middle school, I wanted to distract myself so I pierced my ears using a safety pin. It hurt like hell. I also had to disinfect it but all I had was alcohol, bad choice huhuhu. I stopped after that one ear and didn't touch the other ear. depends where u want em/// ear... nope. but i have a high pain tolerance so maybe thats why... but if ur getting ear cartilage pierced it will be a pain in the ass for the next few weeks coz every slight flick will hurt... lol i love my piercings thu   reply

Not too much it’s really quick, I have a double industrial piercing, the healing process is not that bad either, but you have to sanitize it   reply

I would say it really depends from person to person. I went from single lobe piercings to an industrial so I only have 3 piercings. But I will highly recommend that you take an anti inflammatory like naproxen sodium (drug name not brand name) for a few days starting from right after you get the piercing. This will significantly lower the throbbing ......   reply

(Saving this because I want piercings and want to know what to expect ) I was 2 days old when I got my ears pierced so I have no idea what the pain was but from what I've heard soft bits of your body are easy, cartilage hurts like fuck... also your clit is supposedly the worst thing out there..."worse than child birth"   1 reply

I will never pierce my ears again. My septum piercing didn't hurt that much, just a shock of pain but it wasn't throbbing like the ears (the septum was a needle and the ears were with a gun, so that's why the ears hurt more probably. I have a second hole on my ear, it didn't hurt. Its just a sting. The further you move up your ear the more it will sting/hurt. It will be sore but you should be fine. Like if you cut yourself with glass it hurts while its cutting but afterwards it's just a bit sore~ If your doing it on your nose or lip I don't really know. My cousin has a nose ......   2 reply
