Romanticism of having a possessive Lover
I don't like how romanticized having a possessive lover is. I always see "CEO Hot possessive Daddy." In books. Obviously written by someone who isn't possessive. I am possessive. Extremely possessive over everything and some people and LET ME TELL YOU! IT'S NOT FUN! Anyone who talks to what i like to consider MY person is a considered a threat. There is the constant fear of MY person leaving me for someone else. Me being their 2nd choice. That I am not good enough for them which is why they speak to other people. There is always always jealousy. MY person's friends end up not liking me because everytime they speak to them I end up subconsciously glaring at them and vise visa. I hate everyone MY person talks to. Its not cute. It's not hot. It is mentally and emotionally draining. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Exactly! I’m guessing people want a possessive lover because it makes them feel special, but in reality their lover is just insecure. It’s just horny teenagers and adults who have never had human contact essentially.
Actually being or having a possessive partner isn’t cute, it’s suffocating. Possessive partners are the ones who’ll get angry (actually angry not “I’m gonna punish you” shit) at you for even looking or talking to someone else. On the other hand, they feel suffocated because they think you don’t want them at all and you want to be with someone.
It’s overall a struggle and something you and your partner would have to work on, not idolize. I totally agree with you in this
lmao they had me in the first 2 sentences ngl
