"You Shouldn't Complain About Bad Translations"
Here's why you're wrong.
Scans usually have reliable, multilingual translators that are capable of fixing grammar and sentence structure issues on their own. When a scan doesnt have access to a translator, they'll often turn to... fucking Google.
I want you to imagine this-- its Friday, you've been waiting for Jujutsu Kaisen episode 20 all week. It finally airs on Crunchroll and youre absolutely hyped. But when you turn it on, the dub is just the Ok Google AI reading out a shitty google translation of the original script. Youd be fucking upset, right?
Computer Generated translations aren't proffessional for any line of translation work. But if youre a scanlation that's promissing readers accessible translations of their favorite manga or manhwa, it better be fucking coherent and readable. Otherwise they should not be trying to provide a service they cannot properly execute. Not only does it upset readers, it can also ruin the reputation of a scanlation team.
If the most work you've done is block out the original text with big black boxes in PicsArt and replace it with a Google translated version of the original text, of course people are going to be upset because you failed to properly do the service you claim to provide.
If you want good translations then go and pay for them, but bc we are reading ILLEGALLY we can't complain. Scantalation groups buy the chapters then put them on here so we can read for free. If you're so bothered by bad translations than why not actually go support the author and buy them. People are putting effort and money (even if it may be goog......
