dad's a dick

My parents just broke up. Im staying with my mother and i know shes struggling in money

,, my father owns the atm card and he earns most of our money. Usually my mother handles the card but when they broke up, my father demanded that he want his card back. So my mother gave it because she doesnt want any more problems.

My mother is a teacher and in my country, teachers dont really earn much.

Im studying in a private school and i have like one more year to graduate highschool. Im actually waiting for my mother to say that i'll be switching to public, but she didnt.

She eventually said that, i'll finish hs in my private school bc she knows i have friends there and how much im attached to them. That really broke me.

Now i feel like a big burden to my mother. Now i cant ask for things because i know we cant afford it.

Tbh, im not really that sad about my parents splitting up.. bc my father didnt really "contributed" in my life. Im sad because we're now struggling and my mòther is really suffering
