Am I a POC?

Okay so basically, my mom is from Guatemala and my dad is from Mexico. I was born in America and I'm like the color white. I'm not sure if I'm a POC because of the color of my skin, am I? Like my mom and dad are Hispanic but idk if I am, I know it's dumb but I'm genuinely confused.

Please help, I'm stupid, and idk how this works

I mean your skin color has nothing to do with your descent. You can still be white but Hispanic. But when we think about the definition of the term, I think there's a possibility you could be. Depends on your race not your ethnicity. If you’re not racially white then yes you are a poc. However if you’re mixed white with another race you would be considered poc. poc means not white. and by that they mean not of European descent. if your parents are hispanic, then yes, you are hispanic. 1 reply
