so my friend, who's a lesbian, asked me to go to pride with her but seeing with this whole corona i'm not sure if it's still happening but i said yes anyways. it's not that i feel uncomfortable because i support the lgbtq but because i'm straight i thought i might feel out of place and i don't want to make it seem as though i feel uncomfortable because this is the first time my friend wants to go and she doesn't have anyone else to go with and i want her to feel comfortable and happy. sorry if this sounds really ignorant and stupid but is it okay for a straight person to attend pride? it's okay if that sounded ignorant you can bash me but i just needed to get this off my chest
in my opinion i think its fine, you are supported the lgbtq community by going so i dont see anything wrong with straight people going unless ur there to be a homophobic asshole but if ur there to support there is nothing wrong 1 reply
