For me.. Well, I had just found out about Fanfics and was kinda addicted to it when I came across a boyxboy Fanfic of some anime (I think it was Beyblade metal saga).. Anyways, I wouldn't call that yaoi cause it didn't contain more than kissing and stuff.. I ventured deeper into the yaoi world when I started reading SNS (Sasunarusasu) fics.. :p
