ive met a person before and she joked around saying "my parents said i cant have a bf until i turn 18" she paused then said "but they didnt say i cant have a gf" and i looked at her confusedly and said "are you bi?" she replied "no im not im heterosexual" and like- cap. "are you sure??" i asked with suspicion i mean its okay but...damn thats kinda suss, like gurl dont make misunderstandings 0.0

They're not "joking about being gay", though..? They're just mocking their parents' failure to cover all their bases, and an extremely obvious one at that, lmao. i think it is a harmless joke, but when jokes like this went too far, it might harm other people. (just a story from me, don't read if you don't have time haha) i've had a female friend who has a crush (a straught dude) that pretended to be gay on valentine's day. that crush thought it was a harmless joke and pretended to be sweet to his another...... reply
