Depends on what it is. Gatekeeping can be necessary in some instances, in others it’s just completely toxic and idiotic.
I lose sleep over these MFs on twitter who try and make any and everything a slur. I’ve heard “virgin is an asexual slur” and “crackhead is a POC slur.” Shit like that is absolutely unnecessary.
