Short version: Can you call someone out if they do something wrong to a community you're not part of
Long version:
Before getting started, I just want to say that I’m genuinely interested in answers. I don’t want to be offensive or disrespectful. I know I’m dealing with sensitive issues I’m sorry in advance if I offend anyone. Please, correct me if I said things wrong. I know very well this is Mangago but I enjoy serious questions. If you’re only here to discuss about mangas, sorry to bother you.
I used to think that it’s always a good thing if more people fight for a cause like equality of rights for example. Even more if these people come from another group and are not directly concerned because they may have a different perspective. They could also make things change in their own community. To me, it can convey the idea that it’s not only about a group against another. But it is obvious that the people concerned will always have more legitimacy.
However recently, I read something about POC being capable of fighting their own battles and white people tending to behave like knights in shinning armors. It seems like a relevant issue so I started to doubt hence my questions :)
1/ Do you agree with that statement? What are the « problematic » behaviors? I am not judging anyone, even with good intentions, people can makes mistakes.
2/ To what extend can it be also applied to other groups?
Can you be a feminist activist if you're a man?
Can you speak about the issues of the LGBTQA+ community if you’re not part of it?
Etc.
3/ Then, what can you do when you're not part of the group?
How can you show support irl and on social medias?

In my pov as a poc and member of the lgbtq+ community although I think it's important to stand up for ourselves and fight our own battles, if you see someone being racist or homophobic or something why wouldn't you call it out regardless of your race or sexual orientation?
