i have a friend who went through the same thing she told me she suppressed the urge by using stress balls,i don't know if this is helpful but i hope you don't go through that pain again,it takes time.   reply

pt 1, i think the best alternative for recovery is using ice as a safe relapse. i dont wish for anyone to use this method but if youre feeling any type of need, just use ice on the area you need to. also, when you're in the right headspace, highly recommend throwing away anything that is used for slf hrm. pt 2, finding ways to de-stress can possib......   reply

i dont know if its going to help but putting glue where you used to do it, and then peel it off real quick used to help me a lot back in those days. congratulations on being clean!!   reply

Wear gloves basically 24/7, the kid where like there's no seperation for your fingers except for your thumb so that you won't be able to really pick up anything like razors   reply

Music helps me a lot, and I dont know how like- "artsy" you are but when I get that way I feel soooo much better after grabbing a canvas or piece of paper and doing basically "finger painting" just the feel of the paint on my skin and hands and then being able to just splatter paint helps me work through it   reply

Hi, usually what I try to do when trying not to s*lf h*rm is doing something that calms me or makes me happy in some way! Like drawing, but sometimes it doesn't usually work. Or put bandaids over the places you want to cut. If you do that it will at least stop you from trying to cut that area for a little while. Hope this helps for you   reply

It's different for people some do things that make them happy such as eating sweets or playing a game and other inflict pain that causes less damage like when it gets bad for me I'll make my fingers pop, squeeze my wrist on the vain, or pinch parts of my skin but please keep being proud of yourself! :D I'm proud of you too just don't resort to maki......   reply
