How do other asexual people think about sex in romance comics(manga&ect)
I might sound like a child by saying this but I find it uncomfortable when I’m reading a straight, what I assumed to be sweet and fluffy, romance between two individuals and all of a sudden sex and sexual acts become such a large part of the characters thinking. I know that sex is a way to show affection and can be a large part in peoples lives. But whenever it comes up in something I read it makes me feel bad about being this way, bad about being ace (of course I do make sure to check the genre and tags).
So I was wondering if other people like me also feel this way and if there’s a way I can get over this? Idk man I’m just sick of feeling bad about something I can’t control, I would also just like to know if others are going through something similar.
I know it sounds like I’m whining but the more I think about it the worse I feel and rn I would just like some comfort :)

I mostly read if the plot is good or if ...... 1 reply
Personally I feel disgusted or uncomfortable when I see sex scenes (especially when the plot diverts to exclusively sex. I drop the series when it gets to that point tho) but I'm getting numb to it bc every 'good' romance plot always exploits sex lol..
(Btw you're not childish at all, and you don't have to feel bad about it)
(This is kind of unrel...... 2 reply
Being ace is okay, don't feel bad for something you can't control, that doesn't invalidate you. I know many people that are asexuals, my friend, you're not alone. Some people needs sex, some don't, and that is okay. It shouldn't be anybody's business but yours.
Now all you gotta do is accept that part of yourself and don't force yourself to do so...... 2 reply
