Have yall ever noticed we as humans have a very strong “us vs them” mentality? It’s crazy and it doesn’t matter what the issue is. Generation, Gender, Race, Sexuality I ALWAYS see this us vs. Them speech. Just a few hours ago I saw this ad on YouTube with this woman saying “they told us we weren’t good enough. They have been underestimating us. They think we are not good enough blah blah.” And the whole time I’m thinking WHO? WHO is saying this? I haven’t been told that by whoever “they" is. I’ll give another example when the election was happening, I would get these ads saying “They told us our vote didn’t matter. They tried to stop us from voting in this election yada yada.” I’m not trying to discredit them or say that “they" didn’t tell them those things. I feel like ads like these are just to rile up the hatred in people. Nothing is more dangerous than angry hate filled people. If what I said didn’t make any sense, what I am trying to say is that this “us vs. them mentality” is only spreading more hate and drifting the wedge farther apart in society instead of amending it.
