Why do white people get so mad

(I am east asian) I want to say that the majority of anime characters are intended to be Japanese. In the majority of animes, characters have Japanese names and are portrayed as clearly Japanese. As an Asian woman , I get uncomfortable when people change the race of a canonically Asian character since Asians are POC as well and it's also disrespectful changing the race of a canonically Asian character . I know not many people get represented in anime but please stop acting like Asians aren't POC too .   2 reply

If a character is officially one race/ethnicity/nationality/etc. then imo everyone should really leave that aspect alone, regardless of what it officially is or isn't. And honestly that goes for every official/"canon" aspect of a character. We're all visitors, guests when it comes to watching anime or reading manga or whatever. You wouldn't go to s......   reply
