chose to be a male minor character in an elementary school play even though a female minor role was still available because being a girl made me feel uncomfortable. now i realize i'm nonbinary. apparently on a subconscious level i already didn't consider myself a girl that pretending to be a girl registered differently in my head than being myself.......
