Dumb problem/vent post

My birthday was like a few months ago and I don’t really care about how many people wish me happy birthday, but I care if my close friends do or not. So the only happy birthdays I wanted to hear was from my family and my five close friends. One of my friends that i’m really close to tho(we’ve known each other for like 3-4 years) didn’t say happy birthday to me and ngl I was super sad. I know that it’s a dumb thing to be sad about and it’s not their fault if they forget. The only thing that made me sadder was that they went on instagram a couple days later and wished an anime character happy birthday, but they forgot about mine. I even tried to slip in that it had been my birthday the next time I had seen them bc a late happy birthday is better than nothing but they didn’t notice the attempt so I just stopped. It’s been a couple months since my birthday but I always get reminded of it when I see them wish anime characters happy birthday. Lol I know that its really dumb but I just wanted to vent about it. I know that i’m not entitled to a happy birthday or to my friend remembering my birthday and that my friend could have had something going on at that moment. Sorry I was just little sad and I was really thinking about it tonight for some reason.
