I don't think it's exactly fair to automatically believe the victim without some sort of evidence? There are certain factors ig such as do I know the person being accused or the person trying to accuse them because sadly there are some sick people who do lie about it.. Hmm, I think that of course we shouldn't blindly believe anyone, but at the same time, imagine finally opening up that you've been r*ped and everyone is like "yeah right, they would never do that to anyone, stop making things up" that would be really crushing for the victim. Most rape accusations are true (less then ten percent are false) so I believe the victim but don’t actively hate on the accused unless there is evidence or multiple victims. You treat it like any other crime. If you call the police and say someone robbed your house, the police will believe you until proven otherwise. I think of it like that.   reply

So fales allegations of rape is more rare than a man getting raped. I would suggest to be supportive of the victim. Because many rape victims don’t have any proof as they were in a vulnerable position. And many more don’t even realize they were raped in an instance. I believe you should be sort of neutral here. Whatever you do don't automatically disregard what the 'victim' has said, especially if the situation is really serious (like rape).
