Some questions for Art (Artists?)
Hiiii I guess I'm an art student but that's not the point. I really enjoy reading manga/manga and I want to eventually be able to draw my own( not in the near future but it's just a hope) however there are multiple problems for this
- I'm a person who procrastinates a lot so I might say I'm going to practice but then I never do
And it's not like I'm really bad at art bc I've always been pretty good with art in general (like not expert level but for my age it's decently good)
- I've never really thought about it but to an extent I'm a perfectionist so that holds me back a lot so even if I do get over my procrastination and I practice I'm constantly looking and comparing my work and then I degrade my own work and eventually give up
I'm a sucker for compliments but if I don't feel it's good then almost no matter what you say could change my views on it
- I learn individual body parts at a the time but I usually just draw eyes or practice lips so when I'm trying to put my stuff together it ends up looking jumbled or something looks oversized and I end up stopping
Most of my other issues relate to those main things and that prevents me from going forward with my artwork/art style
Actually I've stopped doing art multiple times over the years like as a young young child I drew alot then I started back around 10 or 11 and finally I started back at 14 (almost 15 now) and it's not like I'm not supported bc ever since Ive started back I've gotten a lot of art suplies and such and my dad even said if I make a manga he would read it (me and him watch anime together sometimes) so I want to fix this issue with myself
Any advice?
ok im a highschool art major so maybe not the best person to give advice
