Spare opinions about this and that
Every single person has the right to express themselves, but I honestly think there's a sort of demonization on going towards "cishet white women and men that read BL" as if they automatically fetishize them just because they're put in this category. I'm a non-binary, asexual, biromantic with homoromatic tendencies, mentally and physically ill person, if it's necessary to label myself in order to give out my opinion. I also read BL just as I read josei or some spare GL.
To read BL, while being who you are whatever category you're part of, doesn't make you automatically someone who fetishizes gays. What matters the most of to differentiate between reality and fiction, which means that yes you can read BL, but no you can't apply it to life. You can't go around asking private questions to real gay people, because that's just disrespectful.
Fiction isn't always equal to reality. If you can't differentiate between fiction and reality, it's your own fault and you have to fix it by becoming aware of it. Let's make an example. I can find Sangwoo interesting as on a psychological level because he's a character, he doesn't exist, and because Killing Stalking is fictional, but this doesn't mean I support Ted Bundy. It's an entirely different thing. It can't be compared, because that would be just madness.
I also think that you can find interesting problematic characters or couples, as long as you comprehend the fact that the dynamics/attitudes are unhealthy if reproduced in real life. To find "interesting" doesn't mean to excuse the wrongdoings, it's actually the contrary. It means you truly understand how deeply rooted the issue is, but since it's fictional you're allowed to find something or someone simply interesting perhaps on a psychological level to you. It doesn't mean you have to be guilt-tripped for it.
my biggest problem is i know if killing stalking was about a guy and a girl, you guys will call it ' toxic ' ' reinforce sexist stereotypes ' ' bad representation of women ' this is one of my biggest problem, the fricking hypocrisy in the bl community is so blatant, i've had a girl tell me toxic stuff was hot when it was m/m, but not m/f because i......
