Why do you gatekeep anime? Like what kind of satisfaction do you get from gate keeping anime?

Their was this one time where i was watching aot in the bus and i guy came up to me and said “oh you watch aot you probably watch for the hype i bet you simp for levi and eren you probably never heard of naruto and one piece go back to watching riverdale and stranger things” umm- first of all i had been watching aot since 2014 and I believe in the H A N G E SUPREMACY and lastly your opinion aint valid if you wearing a ahegao hoodie and sweatpants the second hand embarrassment i felt was astronomical lowkey wanted to punch the guys for telling me what and what not to watch

I don’t gatekeep, but honestly, I want to sometimes. Because anime is something that I got bullied for, and then I see the girl that bullied me four years later making haikyuu tik toks, I mean it was a long time ago, but she still made me rlly insecure, and I still Have those insecurities to this day.
