Asexuality, Fandoms and Headcanons
Hello, I have a question for you. When I was adolescent, I really loved Death Note. However, basically the whole fandom shipped Light and L especially because of that very intense raining scene into the anime (it was very beautiful!). I'm not saying you can't ship them, but I remember I felt really weirded out by the ship because inside of me I thought Light that wasn't "sexual" nor "interested in anything romantic" and the same went for L about sex. So in my mind I always perceived Light as asexual and aromatic and L as at least asexual, which made me weirded out by smut doujinshi or fanfictions meanwhile I could tolerate shounen-ai in the end. Later on in my adult life I understood what being asexual and aromantic meant, so I definitely saw how Light and L could be that.
My question is: is there a character or more that you think is asexual and/or aromantic but the fandom doesn't recognize it as such and keep shipping it with someone else sexually/romantically?
I have nothing against you if you do it. I'm aseuxal, but I don't think it's hurtful for me personally. I'm just curious!
Yes Bakugo. He doesn’t seem interested in basically ANYONE and the only people he kinda has interaction to (Kirishima and Kaminari) they don’t really have anything romantic between them it’s just genuine wholesome friendship?? Don’t come at me but I just ship Bakugo with therapy cause he isn’t really suit to be with anyone.

I don't remember any for the moment but I agree with you op. It's an odd feeling when you see the whole fandom shipping two character when you can't see them being together. As long it doesn't interfere with you enjoying the show, it's all gucci.
