English homework problem helpp
1 - I'm sorry I'm late. I've (been) to the doctor
2 - I'm sorry I'm late. I've (gone) to the doctor
Which one is the right one? Gone or Been?
Honestly I think it's "been" but I dunno

(for the contest I'm italian and since I'm learning english this is one of the homeworks for tomorrow and I'm not sure which one is right)
"I have been" is more used by English people as far as I know. That also use I want to the doctor.
