Okay so this is a complicated debate. It’s transphobic to suddenly lose interest in a trans woman with female sex organs (a vagina and boobs) and secondary sex characteristics just because you found out she is trans. That’s transphobic. Because transwomen aren’t men, but their argument is that people only see them for their genitalia, but that isn’t fair to pressure lesbians like that because they aren’t just gonna be okay with a sick even if it’s on a chick... but it kinda ticks me off bc no matter how much I try I’m not gonna be attracted to what I’m not attracted to......   1 reply

it completely depends on the lesbian. lots of lesbians love and would readily date pre-transition trans women. some women however, wouldn’t, because they’re simply not attracted to a pre-transitioned body because while a trans woman is wholly a woman, her body often doesn’t match who she is presently, and that’s not either of their faults.   reply

As a trans person myself, I don’t think it’s transphobic to not want to date a trans person, it’s okay to have preferences. If you openly discriminate against a trans person, that’s transphobic, but if you simply don’t want to deal with some of the many issues that come along with being with a trans person, thats’s fine.   reply

You can not want to have sex with someone because their genitals don't match your preferences, but if it's the fact that a person is trans that you don't like, it's transphobic. But yeah, you can be a lesbian and date a woman/enby person with a dick, you'll still be a lesbian, you still like women.   reply
