I usually read till i feel sleepy or tire myself out(but since your already tired..) But if i've to sleep asap, i do the millitary method
so basically
-Relax your entire face muscles
-Drop your shoulders to release the tension
-Exhale
-Relax your entire legs(calves, thighs...)
-Clear your mind for as long as you can, If you cannot, try imagining......
