I don't think that it's about your age, but about your mind (?). So what I mean is that if you love it and you think that you uncerstand it, you are not too young for it.
Btw I started reading yaoi at the age of 11, and I actually startedonline roleplaying (as a seme) at that age too. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
