Neither. I prefer stories that move forward based on the inner motivations and evolution of the characters, not a bunch of random crap that life throws at them. I want their thoughts, feelings and senses. I want their failures and shame, their grief and outrage, their pleasures and persistence. The answer is definitely not both.... I love action and that's where I usually fall in love with the characters more. So them having a love interest would break my heart (example Solo leveling)... Well I seldom watch romance but it's my guilty pressure.... It's just my opinion tho   reply
