-TW self harm so basically is self harm just cutting or could it be other things because i don’t self harm but i do scratch myself. it kinda became a habit but i don’t think it’s self harm because it kinda feels good and i do it when i’m bored. but sometimes i feel guilty bc i also do it when i’m angry and sad and violently scratch with a pencil or pen but it’s not cutting and it doesn’t hurt that bad bc i have a high pain tolerance anyways. is me scratching myself self harm bc like idk i don’t think it’s that bad, i’m just curious. and like should because idk anymore. soooo yeah.
Yes it is! Scratching yourself is considered self-harm. Injuring yourself intentionally is a bad thing and could affect your health. please stop the habit and do something else productive, if you want to let things out just rant out to any of us, we will listen (●'◡'●)ノ 1 reply

Because i also have a bad habit of like biting myself whenever im sad or angry and its like the same situation, it doesnt hurt bad but i still do it. Im trying to like teach myself to stop biting myself because it just became a habit you should try to stop too reply
Scratching yourself as a reaction to anxiety is not necessarily self harm but when you do it with pencils and pens to the point where it causes injury is definitely self-harm. Please look for a healthier way to deal with anxiety and boredom and other negative feelings. Like playing solitaire. Or drawing. reply
Look I know this isn’t related to the question but, I can relate, real bad. Like especially since I have eczema (meh it’s mild) so it irritates my skin. Because I do intentionally self harm since I guess it lets steam off? I don’t really want to stop it tho. But whatever I’m just rambling but hope you have a nice day! reply
