thoughts on some interesting genres-
1)what do you think of yaoi/bL?
2)what do you think on shoujos(romance ones)
does it feel saturated? like, when you clicked on the genres and clicked "popularity" did you see what i see?(no bashing but..) esp in shoujo's sect, we'll see that there's a whole lot of {i got reincarnated and i wanna try to survive~} or the {we like each other but somehow can't communicate~} kinda plot.
or like plots in yaoi that is like {idk why, but after he raped me, i like him~} or the { i'm straight but for him, i don't think so~}. like, i love reading all of them, bc it is all just fantasies, but it feels repetitive.
not ALL of them are like this, it's just that, i've been finding quite a lot lately.

I’m guilty as a person who both reads BL and shoujos, but I agree that there should be more diversity in plots.

Yeah, there's a lot of shoujo like that, but generally speaking they all have their own shtick. Honestly I can't get enough of this stuff, so I wouldn't have a problem even if they were almost identitcal.
I read shounen ai exclusively so can't speak for yaoi tropes. Haven't seen most of them. I think your problem is that you're looking for a good s......
