Oh hey same here mom and dad lost hope in me long ago as for taking my phone i always make sure to never give them a chance to do it by doing my assignments even if it was late and giving good/satisfying results for them most of the time so I'd say tell ur mom that it's ok and that ur definitely gonna do it so she doesn't need to worry and promise ......
