regarding romance and dating
i read something really damn interesting online.
'it's better to be single than date someone you're not really that into'
'you should value dealing with your own issues instead of pushing them all aside for a crush/love/romance'
'do the best to be the you that you want to be'
'nice partners are not rare- its just that you haven't met them yet. don't look for them, find ways to enjoy life on your own as well'
'value yourself and your worth'
These were some of the most positive messages i've seen online compared to the usual 'omg sacrifice yourself for love', 'how to change yourself for love' kind of bs that many love sites recommend.
please don't feel bad if you don't have a lover. time without a lover is more time to tend to yourself even more than before.
i've seen a lot of perfectly kind and lovely people settle for some jerk who doesn't treat them right. Or lose themselves trying to conform to their partner's hobbies, social circles, and even food preferences. All just cuz they are afraid of ending up alone.
not having a partner does not make a person lonely or unhappy. work on yourself, your ed......
