Every relationship has "difficulties", as you said. But most of the time, you base whether those difficulties are "worth it", depending on how much you like the person.
For some people it's... "this girl is beautiful but has a racist sense of humor, can I do this?" and others, well... "she's funny & cute, but she's on a wheelchair, can I do this?"......
