First Love

My first and last love happened three years ago. As childish and stupid as it sounds, I met this girl on Wattpad in the comment section of a Gravity Falls fanfiction haha. We got along with each other pretty well so we moved to Instagram and became closer. (It was also my first time downloading Instagram so she had to help me navigate around. I felt like a total loser in front of her haha.)

Anyhow, we spent the next couple months chatting and noticed she would make flirtatious comments towards me. I was confused at first since I only found myself romantically attracted towards guys (well, that's what I thought back then haha). I wasn't sure of what else to do so I played along, and before I knew it, I realized I liked her too. Though we both harbored romantic feelings for each other, the two of us weren't willing to take things a step further. We were both kids at that time and perhaps, maybe it just wasn't the right time. Or maybe we just weren't meant to be, but that's okay. Life wouldn't be a challenge if things were that easy lolol.

Eventually, our connection faded over time. It was a bittersweet ending, however, I did learn several - perhaps, many - things from it.

Though it took me three years to accept this, I came to realize I could like girls too. This experience really aided in my journey of discovering myself. There's still much more I have to figure out, but that's okay!! I'm honestly looking forward to it. ^^
