How did you react to your first really detailed yaoi scenes?

My first yaoi had sex scenes in the first couple of pages that were as detailed & hard core as it gets, and honestly, it was a bit of a disaster... For some reason, a friend of mine who was into yaoi recommended “Hoshi no Yakata” and that was my first experience with yaoi...
