Violence should never be an answer. I've been hit so much, that I even dare them to hit me even more, I'm just so numb to it, I don't know how to feel when I get hit. But no, violence should not be used, use your words, you wouldn't want your kids to learn from your actions, then watching them do it to their own kids.
