y’all know tik tok right? so i was sitting next to my friend and i heard the song ‘my and my husband’ by mitski. i was like ‘oh no’ bc i feel like tik tok ruins songs. i know i sound like i’m gate keeping and i am, but i can’t help but feel this way. and i really wanted mitski off the app bc i wanted to be the lgbtq+ community’s secret. i can’t help but feel this way, please help change my mentality, i don’t want to be this way.

it doesn't really ruin songs it actually makes people not sleep on underrated songs and it gives the song more attention it deserves. some of the songs I listen to I actually knew them from tiktok. sorry idk how to explain reply
