Why you can love yaoi?

My first encounter with yaoi happened a year ago, when I accidentally saw some boy x boy anime pictures in Pinterest. My first reaction is like wtf .. but I was curious and started to dig deeper and deeper, then I found this site. I think none of my friends able to understand why such an adult woman like me could fall in love with yaoi which is clearly exposing gay stories. And it makes me feel lonely sometimes :( By reading yaoi I can feel like I'm close to boys/men even they're just fictional characters. I can see their weaknesses and fear, which is hard to see in real life. It is slightly a revenge because most of women are seen as objects by men, and it happens here in my country. But I won't regret nor feel depressed, because I can always have the cure in yaoi.
