Being Unschooled and Homeschooled

CHRYSANTHEMUM CHRYSALIS CHRYSANTHEMUM CHRYSALIS 2016-03-19 01:43:32 About being unschooled
Hi, I am being unschooled for my high school years I started out being homeschooled but then after a few years I decided that I wanted to be unschooled because it sounded really interesting and fun.

For those of you who don't know what unschooling or homeschooling is i've put the definition of both underneath

Homeschooling)-Homeschooling is studying and doing you schooling at home using either computer based homeschool programs or using books. Homeschooling is one of the many forms of alternative schooling.

Unschooling)- Also known as free schooling,de-schooling, or real world schooling is schooling without books or any conventional methods and is solely based on what you as a person want to learn. You basically learn at your own pace using different things. Unschooling is legal in all states, and many countries.

If you have any questions about unschooling/homeschooling you can just comment down below and i will bee sure to answer

I think there's a law against not putting your children through any kind of schooling, whether it's public, private or homeschooling.

Where I live yes it is. It honestly depends on the country because in some countries it's either no heard of/ not legal or legal but under the name of "homeschooling"

Do you take exams at all?

CHRYSANTHEMUM CHRYSALIS April 28, 2016 5:42 am

Do you mean standardized tests or regular exams? For me I live in a state where standardized tests aren't required, but I can take standardized tests if I choose to. For exams, I don't take them but my friend who is also unschooled/homeschooled does take exams so it depends on the schooling method.

I saw that you replied on a different topic about how you attended college.
What kind of college allows students to come and go as they want to?
Are you from a rich family that allows you to not go to school?
Just asking out of curiosity.

Yes, I do attend college. I took the SAT's and passed and I was able to get into a college that I choose. This year I started attending college. To answer your second question, there are unschooled colleges that allow there students to come and go as they please, There are even unschooling elementary, middle, and high school that allow the same thing but I do and did not go to any of those type of schools. You could say I go to a "regular" college with books, exams, teachers etc. To answer your third and final question; No I am not from a rich family at all actually the opposite of rich, but my mother allowed me to make my own decision when it came to which schooling method I preferred and she encouraged me to do what I decided.
